Pewter double loop trapezoidal buckle with openwork decoration and moulded projections at one side. Trapezoidal frame with incurved sides. Narrow end has scrolled mouldings at the corners and two projecting lobes flanking a bifid moulding along the edge. The other end is wider with large openwork decoration (a triangle pointing outwards and flanked by two sub-oval openings). Projecting from the corner of the wide end is a large fleur de lys lobe-there was probably another at the opposite corner but this has been broken off. Oval two piece buckle frame. The iron centre bar was separate and attatched in drilled holes in the long side of the frame). All that remains of it are two stubs of iron. The frame is D-sectioned and the front has cast decoration of four flowers (one at each end and one at the mid point of each long side. The back is flat and undecorated.
