An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy gilt annular brooch with collets,  c. AD 1200-1400 date. Description: The brooch is annular in plan and D incross section. The frame is constricted to accommodate the missing copper alloy pin, where it would have wrapped around the frame.  There is no corresponding pin rest.  There are four equidistance collets (these stand approx.. 2.2mm higher than the ring) each has a small circular depression in the top, that probably held a glass stone.   The brooch was gilded, this is now mostly worn away. A complete cast copper-alloy dangle/hanger element from a sword belt hanger, c.16th century (see Read 2008, 220). Description: This sword belt hanger element survives as a symmetrical decorated foliate plate with a forward facing hook, (likely one of three when complete) with a plain knop terminal. Rivet holes either end of the plate retain iron c rivets now heavily corroded. The decoration consists of vegetative elements although no obvious floral elements, leaves mostly spreading from central point. A beehive type open copper-alloy thimble dating from the Medieval period (1400-1550). Description: A circular base with a dome top, the outside of the thimble is decorated with a series of small indented circles that spiral outwards from the crown. Sheet metal copper-alloy reactangular mount with decorative black letter, dating ot he period c.AD 1350-1450. Description: The mount is rectangular with incised and stamped decoration with one corner cut at an angle. There is a rivet hole at each end of the mount. A heavily worn late Post-Medieval to modern lead-alloy (type alloy) pedestal seal matrix. Description: The matrix is of pedestal form, with a flat circular die face. The handle raises from the centre of the back of die face narrow in halfway up before widening to an oval suspension loop. A medieval gold inscribed finger ring dating from circa 1400-1550. Description: The hoop is slightly distorted and is D-shape in cross section. A fragment of copper-alloy finger ring of probable early Roman date (c.AD 43-250). The Ring survives as the bezel and a partial shoulder. The bezel is bordered by an incised ribbon border. The design has become illegible. The ring is mostly a dark brown colour with iron corrosion at the broken end of the shoulder. A complete Post Medieval (of probable 17th Century) moulded clay tobacco pipe. The clay tobacco pipe has been moulded from a white pipe-clay, consisting of a complete sub-circular bowl with a spurred foot at the base where the stem turns at approx.135o angle. The bowl is undecorated and there appears to be a maker's mark 'P' on one side of the foot and possibly an 'anchor' on the other. The rim of the bowl is plain and intact. A complete, Medieval, cast, copper alloy, large size and heavy thimble. This is a closed thimble with tapering sides and domed crown. There are irregular, relatively large and spaced out hand-punched indentations all the way down to a narrow plain band around the base and a plain circular patch on the apex where the indentations start in a spiral all the way down. There appears to be little wear and an attractive chocolate brown patina with just a few small areas of a pale green verdigris corrosion which does continue more so on the inside.
