An incomplete base silver Hooked Tag of Early-Medieval date (AD 800-900). The object is composed of a circular disk with incised Trewhiddle style decoration. From the upper end of the disc are two rounded drilled attachment lugs, both broken and now forming semi-circular spurs. From the tapered trefoil projection at the centre of the lower end of the disk is a small rectangular spur which terminates in a transverse break. This would have formed a recurved sharp hook.
