Fragment of a probable copper alloy Roman plate brooch, inlaid with enamel, dating to the 2nd century AD (100-200AD). The object is oval in plan and slightly convex on the outer face. There is a break at the top and bottom of the object.  This suggests that the object could be a large roundel from the centre of a brooch bow.  It is decorated on the outer face with a series of concentric circular cells, the largest of which contains blue enamel or glass. The inner circles appear to contain degraded enamel or glass, which is a rusty brown colour. The reverse is plain.  …

A fragment of a Post Medieval copper alloy rectangular two piece buckle - frame and spindle, dating to c AD 1720- 1790. What remains is most of one long side of the frame with the slightly rounded corner and a short section of a short side. There are early breaks at both ends, the one on the short side being at the point where the separate spindle was held in the thickness of the frame.
