The object is composed of a square head with rounded outer edges, and four circular drilled holes, only one of which is intact. An incomplete copper-alloy pin of middle Early-Medieval date (AD 720-850). The head is ovoid shaped with a slightly flattened median band and flat top. All surfaces are decorated with a punched ring and dot motif. There are 11 ring and dots which cover the entire surface of the pin head with one on approximately every facet of the object. At the base of the head is a collar from which a circular cross-sectioned shaft extends terminating in a worn break. The metal has a green slightly pitted patina. Length: 25.52mm, Diameter (pin head): 9.41mm, Diameter (shaft): 2.05mm, Weight: 3.3g.

A complete Post Medieval copper alloy button, c.AD 1700-1800. A flat discoid button with a cast and drilled loop brazed to its back. The front bears an incised motif comprising a central ring surrounded by six small circles interspersed with angled or spiral dots. The surface decoration may have been added with the aid of a hand-operated machine. There are the remains of gilding on the lowest point of the decoration. This button has been corroded and worn on all sides.

An incomplete Post Medieval silvered copper alloy livery button, c.AD 1700-1800. A single piece button with the remains of an integral loop and a slightly convex front. The face bears the incised design of a lion rampant, left and facing, above a twined rope, holding a crown. The reverse is slightly dished and has the base of a central integral attachment loop, where it had snapped off. Surrouding this is a maker's mark, too worn to be discernable.
