What remains is most of one long side of the frame with the slightly rounded corner and a short section of a short side. Fragment of a copper alloy object, most likely at medieval D shaped buckle frame dating c1450-1550AD.  The fragment is sub-triangular in section and curved in plan.  On the outer edge of the loop there is an engraved or incised zig-zag line.  On the inside edge of the loop a series of vertical parallel groves. There is a small worn indentation on the inside edge which could have been caused by the tip of the pin.  The fragment has a powdery green patina.
