An incomplete early medieval (Anglo Saxon) gilded copper-alloy disc-brooch with cloisonné enamel inlay dating to c.AD 900-1100. Fragment of a  Romano-British Colchester Type Hinged Pin brooch dating from the 1st-2nd century AD (c. AD43-120).The T-shaped  head has broken rolled cylindrical arms that curve out slightly to the trapezoidal cross sectioned bow and has the remnants of a cast on loop. The bow tapers gradually to the foot, which has broken off.  The bow is decorated with a cast molded design that is divided into two parts including a  panel with vertical moulded ridges, and a plain lower half.
