An incomplete copper alloy suspension swivel for an oil flask. The swivel is 43 mm in length and 39.5mm wide with a sub-circular suspension loop 18.5 x15.5 mm in diameter that is quite worn upon its internal surface. It is a feat of technical bronze casting; the one-piece axial shaft (16.5mm in length, 7.5 mm diameter) and suspension loop is cast captive within the swivel body. The body of the swivel has two chain suspension hooks (one broken) and deep triangular recesses, which may have been fuctional, but other known examples do not have these, so perhaps not.

A body sherd of a Roman amphora vessel. The outside has a raised band decoration running around it but otherwise the sherd is plain. The piece is fairly abraded and most of the breaks are no longer sharp, but there are a few fresh breaks with sharp edges on one side.
The shape of the fragment suggests that it came from a Dressel Type 20 amphora, and dates from the 3rd century AD.
