Five Roman eathenware pottery vessel sherds - large unabraded sherds. Five samian ware sherds: (1) One base sherd with stamp, from a Dr 18/31 bowl, late 1st-early 2nd century. Outwardly inclined walls, slight ridge internally at the junction of the base and the wall (and not externally), rouletted circle around the slightly convex base, stamp SACRI[NN?].M at the apex of the base. Six Roman earthenware pottery vessel sherds. All sandy greyware (reduced fired). Numbered from top to bottom, left to right - (1) rim sherd, sharply everted, straight and squared off, weight 45.97g; (2) rim sherd, everted, curved, rounded, weight 16.03g; (3) neck sherd, probably from rounded jar, weight 25.20g; (4) body sherd, weight 12.46g; (5) base sherd, weight 23.39g; (6) base sherd, weight 20.14g.
