An Early Medieval silver continental sceat minted in Frisia (c. 695-700). The type is know as a VICO, Variety 1b, so named from the letters on the reverse. The obverse shows a quilled crescent curving right enclosing four bars. The metal has darkened consistently into a dull dark grey patina.
