An early-medieval copper-alloy styca from the Kingdom of Northumbria, dating to the 9th century AD and probably issued during the reign of Eanred (810-41). The coin shows two moneyers' names rather than king and moneyer, probably as a result of the mixing of dies. Both moneyers date to the same period. 'Obverse': HVAETRE (Hvaetred) 'Reverse': MONNE (Monne; retrograde). This is a die duplicate of Abramson 2012, Y1965-2 (p.27). Ref: T. Abramson (2012), Stycas Simplied [published within Abramson 2012, Sceatta List].
