An incomplete early medieval copper alloy Anglo Saxon shield on tongue pin for a single loop D or oval shaped buckle dating to c.AD 450-625. On the outer face, the shield of the pin is smooth, polished and undecorated. It is a waisted oval shape with a rounded semi-circular end then two rounded semi-circular cut-outs opposite each other which flare out below to form two rectangular lobes with a nick in each short projecting edge. A complete copper alloy single-loop trapezoidal buckle dating to late medieval to post medieval period (c.AD 1340-1450) The buckle has a trapezoidal frame, complete with pin and a protruding lip at the pin rest. The frame is thin and narrow and there is a notch for the pin. Similar buckles are illustrated in Whitehead (2003: 27) see no. 143 which dates to c.AD 1350-1450.

An incomplete Early Medieval Trewhiddle style copper alloy buckle dating from around AD 800 - 900. The buckle frame is missing, with just the integral plate surviving. The plate is triangular in plan, tapering from the remains of the frame to the rounded point. Silver possible buckle fragment. Cast loop fragment, described as a hook by the finder, thicker on its longer side and broken at both its ends, here taken as about one half of a simple buckle frame. There is the start of a return to the curve on the inner edge of the thicker part. A mould line appears along the inner side while the outer surfaces are polished as if by wear. A silver Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) 'shield-on-pin' buckle pin,  dating c. AD 550-600. The object comprises a broadly trapezoidal plate with indented sides and a curved, drooping, tongue. The plate has a rectangular cross-section and trapezoidal recess with a central circular aperture measuring 3.6mm in diameter. A simple oval loop, whether of cast construction or hammered drawn wire is uncertain, retaining a mass of ferrous corrosion indicating deposition with an iron pin attached, and possibly the preservation of textile in contact with the decaying metal. The use of iron pins with copper alloy frames is characteristic of Anglo-Saxon material. Narrow straps appear from the later pagan period or Final Phase onwards. A copper-alloy buckle of Early Medieval date, about AD 500 - 700, of Marzinzik type I.10b. The buckle is a single looped D-shaped frame with a chunky outside edge which is circular in cross section, and tapers to a narrow bar which is neither offset nor recessed. The buckle is undecorated and the pin no longer remains. The surface has a patchy brown/dark brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 18mm long, 21.7mm wide, 6.1mm thick and weighs 7.69g. A triangular cast copper alloy Early Medieval buckle counter plate. The face of the plate has round bosses at each apex and is covered with sinuous moulded zoomorphic decoration within a linear frame. The form of this decoration is now too worn to discern; however there may be a beast with head pointing to the narrow end of the plate. The reverse is flat with an in-line pair of large rectangular fixing lugs with drilled holes. Circa late 6th - 7th century AD.
