A cast copper-alloy purse frame fragment, dating from c. 1450 - 1550, probably Williams Class C. Description: The fragment is part of the frame of a purse where it would have attached to the purse bar. It is formed from a long thin rod of copper-alloy with one end bent at 90 degrees to the main rod and flattened and widened before piercing to create the suspension loop. The loop is now broken. Description: The coin is very worn and has some post-depositional damage with approximately 1/3 of the flan missing. The coin is very darkly coloured and detail is difficult to see, on the obverse in particular, but the bust has distinctive hollow eyes and mouth, typical of these coins. Measurements: Diameter 16.01mm Weight 0.37g.

A medieval silver penny of Edward II. The coin is a mule of class 11b1/11a2, Durham mint. Description: The coin is very worn and has some striking weakness in some areas. There are both rounded-backed and pointed-backed C's and E's, a crosier at the end of one arm of the reverse cross (at 12 o'clock) and a CIVI/TAS/DVN/ELM reverse legend. Measurements: Diameter 18.16mm Weight 1.06g. Discussion: The different styles of C and E indicate that this is a mule of a class 11b1 obverse with an 11a2 reverse.

A copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1620-1680. The pin is missing. The frame is formed of two trapezoidal loops and has a rectangular section with a central bar. Each loop terminates in a projecting lobed knop on each outer corner. A copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1550-1650. The pin is missing. The frame has irregular inside and ouside edges but the loops are broadly oval and are D-shaped in section. The strap bar is narrowed and has small lobed knops at either end. There is some evidence of a pointed expansion and moulded decoration to the frame due to its irregular edges, but this is now worn and flattened. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
