Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A flint scraper dating from the late Neolithic period, about 2500 BC - 2100 BC. It is an oval flake of opaque grey flint with cortex surviving on part of the proximal end. The flake was formed by blows from two striking platforms; the first from the distal end which is now worked, and the second from the end with surviving cortex, which is thus described as the proximal end. The distal end has been worked into a wide scraper with high quality invasive shallow retouch. There is evidence of both percussion and pressure flaking.

A near complete knapped lithic knife of Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. The knife, which is an elongated oval in plan and slightly convex in cross-section with the apex in cross section being off-centre is bi-facialy worked with extensive retouch. Due to extensive invasive retouch the original attributes of the flint flake from which the knife was formed have being lost (ie. striking platform, ripples and bulb of percussion). The distal edge of the knife has been invasively retouched on both the ventral and dorsal faces to form an arched tip and this retouch then continues on …
