A medieval silver penny, London mint. The obverse has a forward facing bust with the legend: [ED]WARD R ANGL' DNS h[YB]. The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each angle and the legend: CIVITAS [LON]DON. The coin is probably of Edward I, North class 10 (1301-10). It has the remains of a circular piercing at the apex.

A medieval hammered silver farthing of Edward I or II, London mint. The obverse has a crowned forward facing bust with intial cross pattee, extra beading on the collar and prominent pellet eyes. The legend reads: EDW[A]RDVS [---]AN, and contains a distinctive unbarred 'N'. The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each angle, the legend reads: CIVITAS LONDON, also with unbarred 'N'. The features of this coin suggest it is of the later classes of Edwardian coins, probably North class 9-13 (1299-1318).
The coin has been slightly bent at one edge and is slightly clipped.

On the reverse is a long cross with three pellets in each angle with the legend: CIVITAS WATERFOR. The coin has been bent, possibly for use as a love token.
