A shield-shaped cast lead weight, perhaps a trade weight, probably dating from the medieval period. The rally record does not record the mass of this object as it exceeded the maximum measurable on the scales. Given that it exceeded 200g, it may be equivelent to half an averdupois/avoirdupois pound. Also known as a 'wool pound', this measurement came into general use in the 14th century. The weight has a raised field in the centre; other examples on this database feature heraldic designs within this field, e.g. YORYM-529DB8.

The David Rogers collection' (White House Publications & Galatia Print, Powys: 2000), p.23, no. 33. The mass of the weight is 201.18g.
