The sides are slightly concave and taper from to base to the apex, which is perforated with a circular hole. Base width: 24mm. Classification: standing weight (BIGGS N.& WITHERS P., 2000. A cast lead pilgrim's ampulla dating to the medieval period. The ampulla is flask-shaped and has a circular body with a tapering neck. A side loop is located on both shoulders. One side of the body is decorated with a moulded quatrefoil or four-leaved flower with a pellet in the centre. The reverse is very worn and only feint decoration is visible of an unclear motif.
