A Medieval - Post Medieval lead alloy token dating to the 15th - early 16th century. Probably part of the Cross and Pellets series, London manufacture. Part of the edge is broken and missing.
Obverse: Illegible within a broad oblique ray border
Obverse inscription: None
Reverse: Cross with no pellets inside a linear circle; the whole enclosed with a broad oblique ray border. Rays have the same orientation on obverse and reverse.

Probable Post Medieval cast lead uniface token. The token carries a design consisting of two concentric rings with a pellet in the centre. The reverse is undecorated. The surface is a matte dark grey colour. The token measures 19.15mm diameter, 3.05mm thick and weighs 4.4g.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely. Probable Post Medieval cast lead biface token. The token carries a stylised design of a spread-eagled bird looking right. The reverse has a symbol which is formed by a 6 pointed star made up of lines connected and above a '+' which is sat on an 'n' shape. The token measures 28.33mm diameter, 4.11mm thick and weighs 18g.

A complete cast unifaced circular lead token. The token is decorated on the obverse with the initials S R standing on what appears to be a double line, with a pellet in between the S and R. The reverse is blank. The token is 16.94mm in diameter, 2.06mm thick and weighs 3.3grams. Lead tokens with simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period; those with initials are generally thought to date to the post medieval period. (1550-1800 AD).
