An incomplete copper-alloy linch pin dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period (circa 100 BC to AD 100). The pin has a flat, circular head decorated with three recessed pointed oval cells. This leaves a narrow sub-triangular ridge of reserve metal in the centre extending to the edge. The reserve metal perimeter and triangle are decorated with incised lines. Approximately one quarter of the head appears to have been worn flat, presumably having occured during its use as a linch pin.

Pottery body sherd with a small perforated vertical lug on the exterior of the sherd, now broken so that the perforation remains as an open band between two raised areas. The lower part of the applied lug has been broken in half to expose the surface of the sherd beneath. This sherd is made of gabbroic clay that weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall.
