A Medieval, copper alloy, English Jetton of Edward II (1307 - 1327). It is a Berry type 15 (Castle) obverse with Reverse 5 (cross moline). See Berry's Medieval English Jettons, page 48. It is 18.6mm in diameter and 0.9mm thick. It weighs 1.16gm. The central piercing that is normally found on this type of jetton only shows on the obverse of this example and has not penetrated all the way through.

A copper alloy Post Medieval jetton of Hans Laufer. It is a rose orb type issued in Nuremberg and dating from 1607 - 1632. It is not catalogued in Mitchiner, but see number 1685 on page 476 which is similar and which cites Eklund 1926, number 62 which has the same legend as this example.

A struck/hammered copper alloy jetton of Wolf Lauffer (I) minted in Nuremberg, Germany between c. 1583-1601. The obverse shows three crowns and three lilies, alternating, surrounding a rose and is inscribed with (rose) WVLF (rose) LAVFER (rose) IN (rose) NVRNBE. The reverse shows an imperial orb within tressure and is inscribed (cross) VND (rose) GOT (rose) ALEIN (rose) DIE (rose) EHR (rose) (="And God alone the glory").

A struck/hammered copper alloy jetton of Hanns Schultes III, struck in Nuremberg between 1608 and 1612.
A Nuremberg jetton of the 'rose / orb' type, consistent with dating to between 1608 and 1612. The obverse depicts three crowns alternatively with three Lis or Lys arranged centrifugally around a five petalled Rose. The obverse legend reads: +GLVCK KVMBT VON GOT ALEIN. The reverse depicts the Imperial Orb surmounted by a cross, within an ornamental tressure with three main arches. The reverse legend reads +HANS SCELTES IN NVRENBERG. The die axis is 6 o'clock.

A worn and corroded Post Medieval copper alloy rose and orb Nuremberg Jetton of Hanns Krauwinckel II. The jetton is perforated with a very small circular 0.3mm hole adjacent to the edge at 2 o'clock on the obverse and another breaking the edge at 12 o'clock. Circa 1586-1635 AD.

Copper alloy jetton now smooth with almost all detail lost. A few letters of the inscription can be recognised 'CIA PL' (ave maria gra CIA PL ena) suggesting this represents the remains of a French late Medieval jetton. Through the jetton is a hole, 1.8 x 1.2mm and one face bears traces of iron staining.
