A silver plated contemporary copy of a denarius of Hadrian, 117-138. Mint is uncertain, Reece period 6. Obverse shows Laureate head right. Obverse legend reads HADRIANVS [AVG COS III] P P. Reverse shows Fides standing, holding corn-ears and basket of fruit. Reverse legend reads [FID]ES PVBLICA. Condition is fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 2.32g, diameter is 18.37mm. A silver denarius of Hadrian, AD117-138. Mint is Rome, AD132-134, (Reece period 6). Reverse legend reads TRANQVILLI-TAS AVG PP. Reverse shows Tranquillitas standing left holding sceptre and leaning on column. See RIC II, p.365, no.223.
Obverse shows laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Obverse legend reads HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS. Reverse fields and exergue read: / //(COS III). Condition is very fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 3.10g, diameter is 18.78mm.

A contemporary copy of a Roman denarius dating to the first half of the second century AD, possibly Hadrian. Silver plating is visible on areas of the copper alloy core. Corrosion obscures much diagnostic detail.
