Cast copper alloy purse bar fragment length 39mm, width 8mm, thickness 5mm, weight 5.92g. These are two fragments from a purse bar arm. They are triangular in cross-section with a concave underside. On one face is the inscriptionwhich is flanked by a curvilinear foliate pattern before and after the inscription. On the other side is a pierced hole to sow a bag onto. Date 1400-1600. Malcolm Jones has been able to identify the inscription as OLI and HO which would be elements of SOLI DEO HONOR ET GLORIA Williams 2018 p.4 Inscription 5.

A slightly bent gold pin. The shaft is a flattish oval in section and tapers from 3.14mm to 1.49mm at the point. The broad end is finished with a simple knop. Below this is a round hole 1.5mm in diameter and an oblong hole 8.50mm long by 1.10mm. 5.12mm further down is a slightly smudged makers mark, stamped onto the metal, in the form of two letters possibly G over W (GW). This terminal has a circular ear scoop at its tip (the end is bent) and then a perforated circular hole with a groove extending from the hole along the centre of the shaft towards the scoop on both faces. A cast copper alloy Post-Medieval bodkin dating from about 1600-1700. The bodkin is sub rectangular in section and plan. An incomplete copper-alloy artefact, probably of Bronze Age date. This incomplete artefact may well have been a chisel. It has a sub-square cross-section tapering down to a flattened rectangular cross-sectioned pointed terminal at the complete end. This piece of copper-alloy weighs 36.98g and has a maximum length of 83.2mm to the furtherest point of the iregular and diagonal break across the widest end. A copper-alloy double ended awl, probably of Bronze Age date. This artefact has a lozenge shape of 58.2mm length and maximum width of 5.7mm tapering to a point at both ends (rounded point at one end and a flattened point at the other). The cross-section is sub-square at the centre with a thickness of 5.4mm that also tapers towards the pointed terminals. Medieval copper alloy chafing dish handle, 61mm long, 59mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 42.9 grams. The object consists of an openwork handle which is Octagonal in section and has a curved W shaped base with a trapezoidal upper half. The narrow straight upper edge is attached (by a central circular hole) to a rectangular sectioned sub oval lug which has a flat narrow end with a small circular platform (for attaching to the main body of the vessel).

A Medieval to Post-Medieval drop or Loop-handle from chafing dish c. 1400-1600 Ad. The handle is an inverted openwork T-shape with filed chamfered edges. The handle has a shouldered attachment-loop, rectangular-sectioned with collared integral rivet. For similar examples see Egan (1998) 175, fig.143, no.487, and Margeson (1993) Norwich Households 78-80, fig.45, nos.489-91. Similar examples can be seen on the database recorded as both chafing dishes NMS-91CC97 and as casket handles,KENT-5E5F87. The handle is 60.8mm wide, 47.3mm high, 5.2mm thick and weighs 19.47 grams.

Fragment of a Bronze Age axe, probably a socketed or flanged axe. The fragment is from one corner of the blade. The cutting edge is curved and still relatively sharp. The bottom and rear sides are breaks but the top is inward curving and part of the original perimeter. The fragment is mid-green in colour with patches of bright blue corrosion.

The fragment is in fairly poor condition, with extensive mottling and surface corrosion; the metal is a variation of green colours, with some areas of greater patina. The front part and cutting edge of a cast copper alloy axehead of Bronze Age date. The broken rear face is sub rectangular in section. The blade flares widely and still has a keen cutting edge despite corrosion. The axehead is in poor condition with pitting over all surfaces including the broken rear face, suggesting breakage in antiquity. It is 53mm long, 65mm wide, 12mm thick and weighs 183.6g.

A silver Medieval "fede" type finger ring which is inscribed on the outside of the hoop. The inscription is difficult to read because of damage, but appears to read: "C' IL (M)RONE(WH)•IALEALA". The bezel is in the form of clasped hands but has been twisted and bent inwards and the hoop is broken. The rest of the hoop is rectangular in section and fairly crude. A worn copper-alloy flat axe of the early to middle Bronze Age. The blade end is crescentic in form, flaring to either side of the axe. The cutting edge is damaged in places but otherwise is in good condition. It has a flat, rectangular body that gradually tapers towards the butt end. Half way along the axe on either side is a shallow stop-ridge that seem to be early forms of the more prominant versions seen on palstaves. The axe has patches of a brownish patina; the surface is smooth and in good condition.
