A worn and incomplete silver halfpenny of Medieval date. The extra pellet in one of the intact reverse quarters suggests that this is probably a leaf-pellet issue of Henry VI, minted 1445-1454 (North no. 1512). Dimensions: 13.4mm diameter, 0.1mm thick. Weight: 0.36g.

The surface has a plain band running down the centre. This is flanked by alternating diagonal lines creating trapezoid panels, every other one contains two incised zigzag lines. Date 1270-1450 century.

Copper alloy book clasp, length 50mm, width 13mm, thickness 3mm, weight 4.67g. This example is rectangular in plan with an expanded waist, and flat square tabs on all four corners. There is a rectangular hook on the forward edge and a rectangular tab on the rear that has been rolled into a loop. Artefacts such as this have been discovered during excavation in York which dated to the 15th and 16th centuries (Ottaway & Rogers, 2002, 2937-2939) 15th -17th century

Cast copper alloy sword belt fitting fragment length 30mm, width 33mm, thickness 3mm, weight 5.32g. This is a plate with a suspension loop on the lower edge. The left side and top edge have been truncated. There is a truncated loop on the top edge and a rivet hole on the left side. The surface of the plate is decorated with a series of recessed geometric patterns. This is part of a larger plate from which a sword would have been suspended. Date 16th-17th century

A post medieval silver half penny of Charles 1st. A rose is depicted on both the obverse and reverse. No legend. Two small holes have been punctured very probably for the coin to be used as a necklace. As a general rule, pierced coins post dating AD 1180 are not considered to be classified as potential Treasure under the Treasure Act 1996, as they remained in circulation post piercing.
