A complete knapped lithic implement of Neolithic date. The length of this artefact is more than twice the width and with the sides more or less parallel. The object is a flint blade, roughly triangular in plan and rectangular in section tapering to a blunt point. The striking platform and bulb percussion no longer remain but numerous ripples of percussion are still present on the ventral surface. An incomplete cast copper alloy probable hinge of medieval date. This object is most probably a hinge from a 'coffret' (a small box or casket).The hinge is an elongated trapezoid in plan with a rectangular section and a circular attachment loop projecting from the narrower end. The object appears to be undecorated though this may be due to the high degree of wear. A small iron projection is present at the wider end of the hinge, presumably for attachment to the casket. A large complete cast lead pot mend of uncertain date. The pot mend is comprised of two large oval discs joined by a thick central shank and was used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred. The shank can be seen coming through the centre of the smaller of the two plates. The gap between the two plates is quite wide and contains no surviving ceramic material which would help in dating the object. The metal is a mid grayish-white colour and is worn. The pot mend is 45.9mm long, 34.5mm wide, 16.7mm thick and weighs 111g.

The pot mend is comprised of a large circular disc and a bulbous shank and was used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred. The gap between the two plates is narrow and contains the remains of a ceramic of pale orange fabric suggesting a medieval date for the mend. The metal is a mid brownish-white colour and is worn. The pot mend is 16mm long, 22.7mm in diameter and weighs 35.1g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pin of Roman date. The pin is of Crummy's Type 3 in which the head is bi-conical in form with a pointed top and flat circumferential ridge. The base of the head tapers into the shaft which has a circular section and terminates in a worn break. The metal has a light brownish-green patina and is worn. The pin is 54.4mm long, 6.9mm in diameter and weighs 7.9g. A similar pin is illustrated in Crummy, p.29, fig.474, no.480 and dates to 1st - 4th century AD.

A complete cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date. The object is circular in plan with a flat top and base, rounded sides and a wide central perforation. One side of the spindle whorl is decorated with incised triangular cells around the perforation. The metal is a mid whitish-grey colour and is worn. The spindle whorl is 28.5mm in diameter, 9.9mm thick and weighs 45.9g. Spindle whorls were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards and are difficult to date precisely without a secure archaeological context. Most however are late medieval to Post-medieval in date.

The surviving disc has been stamped with the numerals "L//XVIII" slightly off centre. The reverse of the disc is undecorated. An incomplete stone axehead of Neolithic date. The axehead is oval in section with narrow and flattened sides. One face is smooth and polished while the other has a large indentation an two patches which have been scraped. The wear around the edges of this area suggest the damage is old. The axe is comprised of a grey-green fine-grained siliceous tuff - a sedimentary volcanic rock possibly from the Great Langdale quarries in Cumbria.
