Postmedieval copper alloy mount. The mount is circular in plan with open-work decoration. At the centre is a boss which is in the form of a flower with eight petals. Along the outer circumference are eight points in the form of trefoils. The mount is undecorated at the back with four recurving hooks, each tapering to a sharp point. There are very slight traces of possible gilding on the surface of the ojbect.

An incomplete strap mount dating to the 17th century. The mount has a flat circular body with a ribbed and flared terminal to either side. Each terminal has three recessed grooves and four ribs. Both are incomplete.Two incomplete integral hooks are located on the underside.

A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (c. 1500-c. 1650 AD).
This mount is sub-circular in plan, moulded at the front and flat at the rear. At the front, it has a central pellet surrounded by six evenly spaced pellets forming a six-petalled flower motif. On the rear face are two integral overlapping spikes.
This mount is in poor condition and is corroded overall. It has traces of a green patina.
22.23 x 19.67 x 6.64mm. Weight: 4.48g.

A pair of stamped copper-alloy sheet-metal mounts, probably dating from the Late Medieval or post-Medieval periods.
The mounts are of very similar appearance, each taking the form of a four-petalled flower head. At the centre is a raised pellet surrounded by four sub-circular petals; a rim of two ridges and an internal groove forms a perimeter border around the mount, with the point of a petal protruding from each of the four external angles. Cast copper alloy shield-shaped mount dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). The object is shield-shaped in plan and flat. Three circular rivets remain in-situ and project from the rear of the object. The device is of an eagle with open wings facing left with an open beak. A Late Medieval copper-alloy bar mount.
The mount has a sub-circular lobe at the centre, the convex upper surface of which is decorated with a crudely incised cross-hatched pattern. Above and below this central lobe is a short bar, both of which terminate in a sub-rectangular end with in situ copper-alloy rivet. The central lobe is hollow on the underside.
Dimensions: 15mm long, 6.4mm wide, 2.2mm thick at centre. Weight: 0.75g.

A stamped copper-alloy mount of Medieval date.
The mount is in the form of an octofoil, with eight equal-sized, domed, sub-circular petals around a central dome. A single copper-alloy rivet survives in situ, adjacent to the damaged centre.
Dimensions: 14.8mm diameter, 3.3mm high. Weight: 0.68g.
Similar mounts were found in excavations in London, in contexts dating from the late 13th to mid 15th centuries (see Egan and Pritchard 1991: 194-195).

The largest element of the openwork mount takes the form of a deeply moulded, three-tiered crescent with a convex surface and inward-curving points. Contained between these points, bordered by a pair of angled mouldings, is the base of the second element, a 'T-shaped' plate. This base is bulbous and has a vertical groove at the centre. A copper alloy Post-Medieval mount. It may be a bridle boss or furniture mount. It is circular and domed at the centre with a diameter of 39.5mm, and is surrounded by a wide flange. The overal diameter of the mount is 65.96mm, and it is 1.32mm in thickness. There are two diametrically opposed dome-headed rivets each with a diameter of 7mm and with their shanks protruding for a few millimetres below the flange. The mount weighs 29.3g.

A copper-alloy mount of post-Medieval date.
The central element of the mount comprises an openwork flower head in which six petals surround a central pellet, interspersed by four evenly spaced apertures. Projecting from one end of this flower head is a 'V-shaped' moulding, from the centre of which protrudes a triangular extension. At the opposite end there is a rounded lobe. The upper surface of the mount retains traces of gilding. At either end of the flat underside is an integral, circular-sectioned rivet, both of which have been deliberately bent in the same direction.
