Copper alloy jetton. Sterling Jetton fragment, issue of 1280-1330; the finder's suggestion of Edward I (1272-1307) or Edward II (1307-1327) is probably apt. One third is lost.
Obverse description: Motif worn away, possible circumferential legend or nonsense characters in its place.
Reverse description: Short cross recercellee within a granulated inner circle, border of pellets in place of legend (as per Barnard 1917/1981, plate 1 no. 1, page 97)

A copper alloy Post Medieval jetton of Rose Orb type dating from 1500 - 1670. The jetton is very worn and the legend is illegible. It has been pierced at 12 o'clock on the reverse so the orb would be upright if suspended from the hole.

A Medieval, copper alloy, English Jetton of Edward II (1307 - 1327). It is a Berry type 15 (Castle) obverse with Reverse 5 (cross moline). See Berry's Medieval English Jettons, page 48. It is 18.6mm in diameter and 0.9mm thick. It weighs 1.16gm. The central piercing that is normally found on this type of jetton only shows on the obverse of this example and has not penetrated all the way through.
