A copper-alloy Medieval jetton of the Low Countries struck under Louis de Male, c.1346-1384 AD. As Mitchiner, 1988: no. 784. Obverse: +GETOERS:DE:LAT[ON:]B, A shield bearing the rampant lion of Flanders, ornaments around, all within an inner circle. Reverse: C-A-V-[E], Triple stranded straight cross fleuretty with leafy ornaments, within a double stranded quatrefoil, the legend in the external angles of the foil.

An incomplete medieval copper-alloy English jetton. Pentangle type, Berry type 12, Mernick reference 4m.4 (variant), dating to c. 1280-c. 1340. Mint uncertain. The jetton has been worn, bent, corroded and chipped. Its dimensions are diameter 20mm, thickness 0.7mm, weight 0.91g It bears a central punch mark on the obverse. The loss it has suffered to its circumference is significant and it is no longer complete.

A post-medieval copper-alloy French jetton issued probably under Charles IX of France from the Chambre des Comptes. Allegorical type inscribed PIETATE ET IVSTITIA, dating c. 1560-1574. Mint uncertain. See Feuardent (pp. 134-136) for example no. 1742 and Mitchiner (1991, 1011). The jetton is in a very worn condition, and measures 29.0mm in diameter, it has a thickness of 0.7mm, and weighs 3.4g. It has been pierced through the obverse at around 10 o'clock on the obverse, corresponding to around 7 o'clock on the reverse.

A medieval English copper alloy jetton. It has suffered various losses; there is a central circular hole which may be a purposeful piercing. The jetton measures 24.0mm (diameter) x 0.7mm (thickness) and weighs 1.14g. A similar obverse is published in Mitchiner (1988, 120; cf. ref. 262), which he suggests was "probably not [an] official issue..." and dates to c. 1346 to 1360 AD.
