A medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The frame is single looped and ornate, with two integrally cast right angled projections on the shoulders of the outer edge and a rectangular projection in the centre, grooved for the pin. The strap bar is offset and the lateral edges are waisted in the centre and terminate in moulded triangular 'feet' at the end of the strap bar. The front of the buckle frame is rounded and the reverse is flat. The buckle frame measures 17.77 mm long, 29.8 mm wide, 2.35 mm thick and weighs 3.3 grams. It has a dark green patina.

A copper alloy Medieval buckle plate of which only the front plate survives. It has broken across the hinges and the frame is missing. The plate is rectangular and is recessed for the missing frame and has a rectangular pin slot. The front face has a border groove and a central decorative panel created by paring away the metal. Copper alloy sheet buckle plate length 20mm, width 27mm, thickness 1mm weight 2.52g. Rectangular plate with three rivet holes. Stamped ring decoration surrounds the holes, further stamped decoration consists of four lines of small triangle on the forwarded and rear edge and two lines on either side. The forward edge has two folded tabs that would hold the buckle, both are truncated. Iron corrosion in the centre of the tabs where the pin would have sat. Date 12th-15th century

An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy buckle pin. The pin is round in section and tapers towards the end. At the opposite end is the loop, which is where a medium sharp break is located. There are two raised ribs just before the loop, but the pin is otherwise undecorated. The condition is fair. It is covered in a green patina, but a very small amount of the original copper alloy metal does show through at the tapered end. The pin is incomplete and most likely came from an Annular brooch. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy pin from an annular buckle. The pin is round in cross section, with a rectangular raised section which then follows on to the the loop which is mostly complete. There is a small protrusion just under the rectangular protrusion on the opposite. It is in fair condition, and has some surface patina but is very rolled. A cast copper-alloy medieval buckle frame. The frame has a sub-triangular outer edge with shouldered projection in the centre. There are three shallow grooves for the pin. The strap bar is circular in section and slightly offset from the frame. The front is very slightly rounded whilst the reverse is flat. It measures 20.27 mm long, 28.52 mm wide, 2.98 mm thick and weighs 3.8 grams. It has an abraded green patina.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped D-shape and is undecorated and has been bent out of shape. The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 20.8mm long, 11.8mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 1.7g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.18 and are dated to circa 1250 - 1500.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle plate of medieval date. The plate is formed from a single sheet of metal folded in half with a rectangular perforation to fit around a strap bar. One of the resulting loops is broken and a single rivet hole is present through both sides of the plate. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The plate is 20.8mm long, 14.3mm wide, 4.7mm thick and weighs 3.3g. While this object was found with YORYM-103F35 there is no evidence to suggest they were associated within their period of usage.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is roughly half of a double looped buckle with the narrowed strap bar remaining in act. The second loop has been lost to old breaks. The metal has a mid blackish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 20.3mm long, 15mm wide, 3.5mm thick and weighs 2g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.53 and are dated to circa 1350 - 1650. While this object was found with YORYM-103F35 there is no evidence to suggest they were associated within their period of usage.

One face of a Medieval copper alloy sheet buckle plate. This plate is rectangular, with an extended end, and is flat in cross-section. At the extended end, there is a central notch which is flanked by two rectangular projections (which would have folded in on themselves). There are four rivet holes (one at each corner) and two copper alloy rivets are preserved. Remains of iron on the back of one of them.

Late Medieval copper alloy locking buckle 'spindle', 36mm long, 24mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 4.69 grams. The object is circular in section and U shaped in form. It terminates with a spherical knop which has diagionally placed curving grooves as decoration. This object would have formed a locking 'hook' on a buckle which was probably used for suspending a purse or similar.
