A silver Roman denarius of Galba (AD 68-69) dating from April, AD 68 to the end of the year, c.AD 68-69 (Reece period 3). Spanish mint (Tarraco?). Obverse: GALBA IMPERATOR (Emperor laureate facing right). Reverse: ROMA RENASC (Roma walking right, holding a small figure of Victory and transverse sceptre). Cf. RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 234, no.42.

RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 260, no. 4. This coin is rare due to the fact that Otho was Emperor for just three months, from 15 January to 16 April 69 AD.
