A Post-Medieval silver thimble. This thimble has a closed top and is now squashed and cracked. The head is undecorated. The upper portion is decorated with machine-made hexagonal indentations. The lower part bears a band filled with two borders of a double dotted line. Inside, there is an undulating ribbon, on a sligthly squared motif background.

A group of four objects from the same field, though not necessarily deposited together, all of probably Early Medieval date. All four objects are fragments of waste silver, probably evidence of silver working. They are undecorated and have no dating evidence themselves, but are from a known Early Medieval site.
There is one angular chunk (9.53mm long, 6.59mm wide and 5.11mm thick, 0.48g). It has a one concave edge which looks as if it was a hole through the piece, but the rest of the piece has now broken across the hole. One face is complete,in width, but broken at bother ends.

A late medieval silver 'fede' ring, Treasure reference number 2012 T302. The bezel is decorated with clasped hands. The hoop bears a clear inscription but does not appear to make sense. The inscription reads: +ARDOVDOMISb. The inscription might be a blunder of something containing the word DOMI or DOMIS. The hoop is D-shaped in cross-section and circular in plan, with an internal diameter of 18mm. The surface has been gilded.

Treasure ref: 2012 T294. A silver gilt annular brooch, broken and decorated with four symmetrically placed globular projections. Each of these has circular punch-marks creating the impression of clusters. The frame also contains three lozenge shaped flower-heads (the fourth is missing) equally spaced around the frame. One of these is situated above the pin loop. The frame has been gilded. Late 13th or early 14th century.

A medieval hammered silver penny. The obverse has a forward facing bust with a pellet to the left of the crown, the legend is illegible. The reverse has a long cross with an annulet or quatrefoil centre, perhaps indicating the York mint. The reverse legend is also illegible. The obverse design suggests the coin might be of Henry IV-see North 1362 (AD 1412-1413).
The coin appears to have been mis-struck, with the reverse design duplicated slightly off centre. This may be the result of double striking (where the coin is accidentally struk twice with the same die) or of overstriki…
