Clipped silver siliqua (possibly a contemporary copy) of the House of Theodosius, probably AD 379-83, VOT V MVLT X, probably Trier. RIC IX cf. 59a/b; Hoxne cf. 458-9. The mintmark appears to be -//[T]RPS for Trier. The style of the coin appears from consultation with the Hoxne Hoard to be closer to Trier than Milan. It is therefore a rare coin.

A clipped silver siliqua of the House of Theodosius, probably of Magnus Maximus, VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma seated facing. Compare RIC IX, 58/84. This type was struck for Gratian, Theodosius, Magnus Maximus and Flavius Victor. Compare PAS-EFFE41 and GLO-6F0EB3. The coin has been clipped and hardly any of the legends survive.
