A fragment of a silver pin from a medieval brooch (Treasure reference number 2012 T34). Only the circular loop remains. The loop has a broad shallow central groove around it, and there is a small collar at the junction with the missing shaft. Surviving length 5 mm.

A silver annular brooch dating to the medieval period (Treasure reference number 2012 T33). The brooch is formed of wire of square section, twisted to form a cable design, and with a row of granulations along each side. The brooch has broken at the restriction which would have held the pin. An elaborate silver-gilt love or loyalty seal-matrix dating to the fourteenth century (Treasure reference number 2012 T32). The seal has a circular face with a hexagonal conical handle above. A hexagonal collar divides the handle from a quatrefoil-shaped suspension loop. The face of the seal depicts the heads of a man and a woman facing each other with a flowering plant between them. A bird is shown in flight above the flowering plant. The surrounding inscription reads: +AMI AMES LEAVMEnT. The ending is that of a french adverb, so the phrase probably translates as 'Love your love loya…

The coin appears to belong to North class 10-13 (AD 1307-1314), and was struck at the end of the reign of Edward I or the start of Edward II's.

A hammered silver coin, probably a sixpence, of Elizabeth I. The coin was struck in London in 1561. On the obverse is a bust left with a rose behind the queen's head and the legend: ELIZABETH D.G.[ANG.FRA] ET.HI.REGINA. On the reverse is a square shield on long cross fourchee and the legend: POSVI DEV.AD[IVTOREM MEV]. The coin is slightly worn with some damage to and losses from the edge.

A hammered silver cut halfpenny of Henry I, mint uncertain. On the obverse is a facing bust crowned and diademed with the head 3/4 left and a sceptre in the right hand. The legend reads: HE[---]. The reverse has a quadrilateral with a lis at each angle over a cross fleury, the legend has worn away. The coin is similar to North number 871, a type struck between 1125 and 1135.

A medieval hammered silver penny, mint of Durham and struck during the reign of Edward II. The obverse has a forward facing bust and the legend: EDWAR [---]. On the reverse is a long cross with three pellets in each angle and the legend: CIVITAS DUNELM. The coin is extremely worn, but certain feature such as the open 'E' and wide fleurs of the crown indicate that it belongs to the later classes of Edwardian coins, probably 11-15, and was therefore struck between 1310 and 1333.

Cnut's short cross coinage was struck between c.1029 and c.1036, and this coin corresponds to North number 790.

The obverse has a forward facing bust and a legend containing double saltire stops which reads: [--- HI]BE REX (an extra 'E' seems to have been inserted between 'HIB' and REX). The reverse has a shield on a long cross fourchee, the arms of which terminate in a pellet within a circle. The legend reads: [POSVI DEVM ADIV]TORE[EM MEV]. As the class of the coin is uncertain, only a broad date of 1509-1547 may be assigned to it.

A medieval hammered silver farthing of Edward I or II, London mint. The obverse has a crowned forward facing bust with intial cross pattee, extra beading on the collar and prominent pellet eyes. The legend reads: EDW[A]RDVS [---]AN, and contains a distinctive unbarred 'N'. The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each angle, the legend reads: CIVITAS LONDON, also with unbarred 'N'. The features of this coin suggest it is of the later classes of Edwardian coins, probably North class 9-13 (1299-1318). The coin has been slightly bent at one edge and is slightly clipped.
