A silver gilt medieval charm pendant dating from the 13th or 14th century AD. The pendant is rectangular in plan with a small collar on one of the short-ends of the pendant, from which extends an oval suspension loop. Each face of the pendant has four bevelled sides (two long, two short) rising to meet in the centre where a small light pink stone (possibly amethyst?) is set. The stone only survives on one face. Overall, about 50% of the gilding survives. On the face with the missing stone is an inscription around the bevelled edge. This inscription reads '+ A.A.G.L', a misspelling of t…
