Two joining fragments of silver annular brooch. Three-quarters of the flat-sectioned frame survives, with a transverse ridge next to the narrowing for the (missing) pin, across which the frame is broken. There are file marks on the reverse, and a stamped makers mark, probably AS or SV. Diameter 26mm. Width of frame 4mm. Weight 2.0g. Similar to examples from the Isle of Wight (PAS database number IOW-18A1E4) and Holt, Norfolk (HER41116, NMS-A29A38).

Medieval gilded silver collet probably from an annular brooch. Oval at the base, tapering to a circular setting which retains a pale powdery material, probably cement to hold the now missing stone. There are scars at the base where originally soldered to the missing frame, and on the sides where separate sheet arms rising from the frame to the collet were originally soldered, as on a copper alloy example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 2002, 251, fig.162, no.1319). Two non-joining slightly molten fragments of an early Anglo-Saxon silver great square-headed or Continental bow brooch, comprising part of the bow and a similarly decorated fragment of head-plate or possible foot-plate.
The upper part of the bow is divided into two panels by a prominent vertical rib with traces of opposed triangular stamps, and with a rib bordering both outer edges also with possible traces of stamped decoration. Fragment of silver medieval annular brooch: less than half of D-sectioned hoop with very worn curved oblique ribs alternating with lines of pellets imitating twisted mouldings, broken at the end of the snout of a worn animal head at both ends. Weighs 0.38g. 13th century.

A silver annular brooch dating to the medieval period (Treasure reference number 2012 T33). The brooch is formed of wire of square section, twisted to form a cable design, and with a row of granulations along each side. The brooch has broken at the restriction which would have held the pin. The brooch dates to the 13th or 14th century.
