A cut voided long cross halfpenny probably of Henry III (1216-1272 AD). Uncertain mint; possible moneyer is Ricard, allowing for the following mints: Canterbury, Durham, Gloucester, Hereford, Lincoln, London, Shrewsbury and Wallingford. If the moneyer is Ricard, this would confirm that this was a halfpenny issued during the later reign of Henry III (c. 1247-1272) instead of the early reign of Edward I. Obverse: Crowned ruler facing with sceptre; attributes of bust missing entirely. Obverse legend: hEN[RICVS] [R]-EX Reverse: Voided short cross with four pellets in each quadrant.
