A complete flint denticulate of Mesolithic date 8300-3500 BC. The right hand and distal edge are abruptly blunted and the dorsal surface roughly worked with four predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. The left hand edge has five distinct notches which create a saw like cutting edge. The ventral surface contains three predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. The lithic also contains a sub-rectangular perforation to the left/mesial portion, the ventral side of which appears more ovate. A complete but unfinished axehead of probable Neolithic date. The axehead is ovate in plan, being narrower at the butt end than the cutting edge and is sub-rectangular in section. The right edge tapers smoothly from the ventral and dorsal surface to join in a sharp pointed edge while the left edge has not been so heavily worked and the two surfaces are joined by a wide right angled edge. Numerous flakes of differing sizes have been removed from the surface during the shaping process however large patches of cortex remaining suggest the shaping process was not completed, this is suppor…

An incomplete fragment of a cast copper alloy socketed axehead of Bronze Age date 1000-800 BC. The fragment consists of a part of the rim of the socket. There is a raised casting seam running laterally and centrally to the fragment. The collar consists of a single stepped raised edge at the socketed end. The remaining profile suggests it is from a sub-rectangular socket and is therefore a curvilinear profile. The surface is pitted and some of the original patina remains on the collar and there are patches of light green. There is not enough detail to precisely date this fragment howeve…
