A complete glass bead of uncertain date. The bead is circular in plan though badly formed with an irregular surface and multiple pitted areas. The glass is a light bluish-green colour. The bead is 19.1mm in diameter, 10.9mm thick and weighs 4.4g. Glass beads are very difficult to date with any certainty therefore due to a lack of contextual evidence and any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely and it could be Roman through to post-medieval in date.

A fragment of a glass bottle of modern date: 19th century. The fragment is part of the neck and rim of a bottle. The rim is circular in plan, rectangular in section and is slightly raised from the surface of the neck which is also circular and flares outward slightly before terminating in an irregular and worn break. The glass is a dark green colour which appears black at the thicker points. The fragment is 59.7mm long, 36.8mm wide, 9mm thick and weighs 50.6g.

A complete polychrome glass bead of Early Anglo-Saxon date. The bead is of Brugmann's 'Dot34' type, circular in plan with a flat top and bottom and a central circular perforation. The body of the bead is a light brownish-white opaque glass, and it is decorated with blue glass trails in an irregular wavering pattern forming six triangles, each with a dot of red glass. The bead is 12mm tall, 16.8mm in diameter and weighs 4.3g. Similar examples can be seen on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as LIN-B83187 (another Dot34), and also LIN-D76CE0 and SOM-4B0603. An incomplete glass bead of probable Roman date. The bead is circular in plan with a central perforation. The glass is a mid blue colour and survives in good condition though roughly 1/3 has been lost to an old break. The bead is 9.1mm in diameter, 7.1mm thick and weighs 0.6g. Glass beads are very difficult to date with any certainty without any contextual evidence or diagnostic features however this bead was found in a similar area to other artefacts of Roman date.
