Flint pebble single-platform microcore, oval in plan and lozenge in profile. Flakes removed from 200 degrees around the axis of the platform. A layer of grey cortex is present on the remaining section from the platform to the base. The flint is dark grey brown colour with light grey flecks and inclusions. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 85, Fig. 30, No. 5, which is dated to the Mesolithic.

A worked core chunk, grey and brown in colour, which has been re-used as a scraper. The right margin exhibits discontinuous retouch of low angle and edge type extent which gives a serrated edge. The left margin exhibits partial retouch of semi-abrupt angle and edge type extent which offers a degree of scraper functionality. Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar example on p129, Fig 56, L104 which dates to the Neolithic.

This is a single-platform core. Large broad falkes have been removed all the way round. The piece is made from dark grey flint. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble by the look of its secondary cortex. Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 119 Fig 50 No L14 which he dates to the early Neolithic.

A single platform core of light grey flint with cream flecks, worked 3 quarters of the way aound the edge of the platform. It was a difficult pebble to work with internal flaws and step frctures terminated some of the removals. A few expedient removals were attempted from flake ridges transversely before abandonment.Butler(2005) illustrates a core on page 180, fig 74, 2.

This is a single platform flake core with retained cortex. A short flake has been struck from one side ending in a step fracture. The piece is made from a mottled clerical grey flint. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is difficult to confirm with only tertiary cortex. Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 121 Fig 52 No L25 which he dates to the Neolithic era.

This is a two platform flake core. The larger platform has flakes struck on all sides. The smaller opposing platform is concave from a hinge fracture. There is only tertiary cortex. The piece is made from a clerical grey flint. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is difficult to confirm with only tertiary cortex.
