An edge trimmed flake which has been uni-facially retouched, possesses a feathered termination and has been expediently made. The left margin of the dorsal face exhibits discontinuous retouch with a low angle and is of edge type extent. The same retouch is evident along the right margin resulting in serration along both lateral margins The flake has been snapped at the proximal end and fractured at the distal end. There is heavy spalling to the right area of the dorsal face and left area of ventral face.

An edge trimmed flake which has been bi-facially retouched and has been expediently made. The left margin of the dorsal face exhibits discontinuous retouch with a low angle and is of edge type extent. Similar retouch has been carried out on the ventral face to improve cutting function. There is extensive cortex cover at the right margin to aid in handling comfort. This may be a segment from a larger tool, such as a knife, which has been snapped at both proximal and distal ends.

Description by Nicholas Thomas: This is a blade with retouch. Both lateral edges and the proximal end have retouch. The distal end is broken. The lateral margins are retouched from the ventral face and the proximal end from both faces. The flint is mottled brown in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is difficult to confirm with only tertiary cortex. Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P131 Fig 57 No L109 which he dates to the Neolithic.

Description by Nicholas Thomas: This is a blade with use wear on both edges. Both lateral edges have use wear. They are almost denticulated. There is primary cortex on the dorsal face. The ventral face has use wear but no scars. The flint is transparent dark grey in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble by the look of its primary cortex. Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P129 Fig 56 No L101 which he dates to the Neolithic.

Description by Nicholas Thomas: This is a blade with use wear on both edges. The dorsal face has two long flake removals. Both edges have slight use damage, particulary the dorsal left margin. The ventral face has a bulbal scar and a trace of cortex at the distal end. The proximal end is broken. The flint is mottled pale grey in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex. Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P127 Fig 55 No L91 which he dates to the Neolithic.

Description by Nicholas Thomas: This is a notched blade. The dorsal face has two long fake removals from proximal to distal ends. There is a shallow notch on the the right margin, worked from the dorsal face. The ventral left margin ha sa shallow notch in a nearly central position. Ther eis a trace of edge wear on the right edge. The flint is mottled creamy grey in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex. Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P127 Fig 55 No L90 which he dates to the Neolithic.

There is a possible small notch in the left margin above the retouched area. All retouch has benn made from the ventral face. The flint is brown in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex. Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P139 Fig 61 No L178 which he dates to the Neolithic.

Description by Nicholas Thomas: This is a truncated edge trimmed flake. The dorsal left margin has been retouched at the proximal third. There are traces of use wear along the right margin and cortex on the lower left edge. The distal end is broken with usewear along the ventral laft margin. Retouch on the upper right margin has been made from this face. The flint is brown in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear even with secondary cortex. Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P143 Fig 63 No L200 which he dates to the Neolithic.
