All the margins have use wear. There are no scars on the ventral face.
The flint is mottled grey- cream in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex.
MERCER (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 143 Fig 63 No 205, which he calls a serrated flake and dates to the Neolithic period.

Mid grey coloured piece of flint with off white speckling within the surface. The dorsal face is uneven in appearance and consistent with a removed core face (core rejuvenation flake), several negative scars and termination fractures would support this observation. This is an edge trimmed flake. The left dorsal margin has been roughly trimmed from the ventral face. The ventral face shows no scars, but there is a hint of use wear at the distal end.
The flint is dark grey in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear with only tertiary cortex.
Butler (2005) illustrates a similar piece on Page 169 Fig 71 No 8, which he calls a notched flake and dates to the late Neolithic to early Bronze Age period.

Off white coloured piece of flint with grey inclusion at the distal end. The dorsal face exhibits at least one indication of heat exposure with what appears to be a blow out alongside the right margin near the medial. The proximal edge appears abraded, while the right margin has the appears of being notched along its edge. The notches are nearly 2mm in depth, with two prominent ones close to the distal edge, becoming more shallow toward the proximal.
