Flint borer, or piercer. In plan it narrows to a point at the distal end, with a tang-like projection at the proximal end. It is sub-triangular in section. The point has been worked. The lateral margins are sharp. The tang-like projection may be natural but the point would suggest that its purpose was for piercing or boring. The flint is brown with primary cortex. It is likely to have been derived from a local beach pebble.
Bond (2004) has a similar example on page 143, Figure 5.129, Number F159.

Flint borer on a flake that is polygonal in plan, bi-convex in profile and section. It is snapped at the presumed proximal end. One edge has a point with signs of retouch above and below. On the presumed distal edge there is a small notch, to one side of which the edge is serrated, or jagged. The flint is pale brown and is classed as tertiary because of the absence of cortex.
Butler (2005) shows a similar example on page 129, Figure 54, Number 1.

Chunky, cortex covered flint flake which could be described as a piercer/borer. The ventral side is smooth and flat. One edge, worked from the ventral side, has been worked towards a point . This point is now damaged, probably through use. The other edge at the point has been damaged naturally.
The flint is grey in colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.
Butler [2005] illustrates a similar example on page 186, fig. 76, No.4 which is dated to the late Neolithic.

Flake which has probably been snapped or broken from a blade. It could be described as an irregular shaped flake, with one end worked to a point. The edge opposite the snap has been worked up towards a point so that the flake could also be used as a borer or piercer, probably a piercer. The remaining cortex acts as backing and there is a smooth side to the medial ridge which also acts as backing.
The flint is a medium grey speckled colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.

Chunky flake which has been broken, or snapped off a longer piece - possibly a blade. There is also a break on the other edge. The edge has been worked towards the point which shows signs of damage, probably through use. This point was probably used as a piercer, or borer. There is an abraded area on the other side of the flake towards an incipient point. This has been blunted, probably accidental damage. There is a considerable amount of cortex remaining.
The flint is a uniform grey colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.
