Cast lead pilgrim ampulla or holy water flask, almost rectangular in shape, with a short neck flattened closed to seal it. The ampulla is slightly waisted with angular loops, on either side at this point, to suspend the flask from a cord around the pilgrim's neck. It is decorated on one face with fleur de lis and lattice within a shield, surmounted by a two concentric circles with radiating lines between them. Cast lead pilgrim ampulla or holy water flask with the neck bent forwards and almost folded closed to seal it. The ampulla is bag shaped with protrusions or lugs on either side of the neck which are the remains of the suspension loops, used to suspend the flask from a cord around the pilgrim's neck. It is decorated on one side with moulded ridges radiating from the centre to imitate a scallop shell. Beneath the shell there is a rectangular stand or box with an incised lattice pattern.
