Iron probable brooch fragment. Wrought iron coil of spring and pin of a wire brooch, a very simple form of bow brooch related to the La Tene III style but locally considered (at Dragonby - May 1996, page 235) as a possible local development of that form. Suggested date: Late Iron Age, 100 BC-AD100. Length: 44.5mm, Width: 11mm, Thickness: circa 5mm (corroded), Weight: 3.59gms.
