An incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman looped toggle (c. 100 BC-AD 100). The toggle survives in a poor condition. This artefact has been cast in one piece and most of the loop is missing. The main body is dumbbell-shaped and sub-circular in cross-section. The central block from which the loop extends has a partial circumferential groove. An Iron Age cast copper-alloy linch pin terminal foot (c. 100 BC-c. AD 100). The exterior of the socket tapers to the terminal, where it curves forward and expands into a flat circular plate. The socketed part has a substantial collar an within the socket part of the iron pin survives. The face of the plate has a raised rim and at the centre is a recessed concave-sided triangle. One of these has fresh breaks and the others have abraded breaks. The fourth sherd is buff/light grey, is tempered with crushed flint, and has abraded breaks. Combined weight: 44.67g. At the top, part of the horizontal spring encasement remains, the spring and pin, as well as the foot is lost. The almost complete encasement, 20.92mm in width, is convex at the front and concave at the rear for the spring mechanism (now missing). The diminutive wings, which are flat and rectangular in shape, have an overall width of 13.84mm. These are plain at the front. To the rear of the wings, a portion of the spring chord is secured by a forward-facing hook which protrudes over the head of the brooch. A fragment of a Late Iron Age to Early Roman terret of simple form (c. 100 BC-c. 100 AD). This fragment is the bar and a small part of the loop. The bar is slightly curved in plan and rectangular in cross-section with rounded corners. Between the bar and loop there is a semi-circular grooved collar, flat on the inside. A vestige of another collar can be seen at the opposite end of the bar where there is a transverse break. The loop is 'D'-shaped in cross-section but slightly convex on the inside. An incomplete object, possibly a mini-terret of Late Iron Age or Early Roman date (c. 200 BC-c./ AD 100). The piece consists of part of the frame and a small portion of the bar. The frame is largely sub-triangular in cross-section and the bar is circular in cross-section. From the break on the frame, it expands in width and thickness towards its junction with the bar. It has patches of a mid-brown patina which is shiny on the inside. Otherwise, the surfaces are corroded and light green. The two breaks are old and abraded. 32.69 x 20.03 x 10.08mm. Weight: 14.83g.

A Late Iron Age to Early Roman cast copper-alloy toggle (c. 300 BC - c. 100 AD). This toggle has a central body with circular terminals at each end. One side of the body has a circular cell with a 'pit' at its centre and on the other side there is a rectangular cell. These are empty. At each short end of the rectangular cell there are what appear to be a small stub and these may be the remains of a loop. An incomplete Early Iron Age ceramic coarse ware situlate vessel in the form of a jar (800/700BC-500 BC). The full profile of this vessel has survived. It has an everted rim, prominent high shoulder and the sides taper evenly to the plain base. It is tempered with abundant crushed flint and contains tiny fragments of mica.
