The object itself is semi-circular in cross section, and formed of a sub rectangular piece which makes up the majority of the fragment; and 3 protruding squares - two of equal size on either side of the object and a final smaller piece top centre. Small gold finger-ring with circular bezel c. 14mm in diameter, neatly curved to fit around the finger and decorated with very worn filigree and granulation. There is a border around the edge which was originally made from beaded wire 1mm wide, but the beading is now worn almost completely away. An incomplete copper alloy toggle, of Post-Medieval date. The object has an ovoid body with pointed ends. From the long side of the ovoid projects an integral shaft with a flattened double loop terminal. One of the loops is now broken. The object is undecorated; it is covered in a thick dark green patina but file marks are visible on all three parts. The patina has worn off on part of the shaft revealing a brass coloured alloy core. The object measures 25.8mm (length) x 23.0mm (width) x 8.0mm (thickness) and weighs 7.22g.
