A Roman cast copper alloy mount, possibly a harness fitting or furniture mount. The mount is in the form of an eagle with the eagles slightly folded outwards with the tips of the wings touching the feet. The head is protruding and facing outwards. Between the feet the eagle has a small spherical ball between which has two lentoid notches which may be intentional or accidental damage. An unidentified silver object. Treasure case no. 2012 T489. The object is cylindrical with a suspension loop attached at the side. The cylinder has been made from sheet silver, folded to form a cylinder and then soldered along the abutting join. An incomplete copper alloy Roman oval plate brooch, c.2nd-3rd century AD. The brooch has a length of 30.57mm, width of 23.44mm and weighs 8.93g. The upper surface has a slightly raised rim which is 0.90mm wide. Inside this rim is a field 3.97mm wide that was originally gilt, only tiny patches of which now survive. At the centre of the brooch is a raised concentric oval bezel although the centre is now empty as the setting is missing. Cast lead-alloy spindle whorl dating from the medieval period, that is c. 12th-13th century. The whorl is circular and of biconical shape, with a central circular perforation for the spindle.
