Flint, patinated heavily on one side and lightly on the other.
Scraper. Triangular knapped flint; a bulb of percussion on the ventral aspect shows where it was detached, the finder identifies this break as a hinge fracture. After an elapse of time permitting the light patination of the ventral aspect, fine pressure flaking executed from that side removed patination along one edge. The opposite edge also feels lightly serrated, though this might arise from fortuitous damage. The skilful working, and the development and subsequent removal of patina, tend to indicate a prolonged Neolit…

Translucent Flint
Knife fragment. Flake with paired longitudinal flake removal scars on its dorsal aspect and a bulb of percussion on its ventral face. Very fine retouch by pressure flaking runs along the parallel edges of the blade, and is executed on the ventral side. The further extent of blade is lost. The selection of good quality flint and its skilful working suggest an Early Neolithic date, 3500-2900 BC.
