The distal end of a flake of mottled grey and dull cream flint, obliquely truncated, removing the proximal end. The right margin has been abruptly retouched and a mesal denticule has been made. The break facet where it meets the right margin has been utilised with slight retouch. Butler(2005) illustrates an oblique truncation on page 111, fig 44, 15.

This fan shaped piece has a bulb and ripples and some retained cortex at the proximal end. The dorsal face is flat with retouch down to the proximal base. The rounded distal margin is sharp.
The flint is dark brown in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble by the look of its secondary cortex.
Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 131 Fig 57 No L110 which he calls an edge trimmed flake and dates to the Neolithic period.

The ventral face has no clear features. The dorsal face has been thinned by flaking towards a point at the distal end. The dorsal left margin is serrated and there is a small notch on the distal left shoulder.
The flint is mottled light and dark brown in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble by the look of its secondary cortex.
Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 135 Fig 59 No L152 which he calls a piercer and dates to the Neolithic period.

A layer of brown cortex is present on the dorsal face. retouch on the left and right edges and the distal end. Snapped at the proximal end. The flint is dark brown grey colour with lighter flecks.

The ventral face has ripples and a bulbal scar. The proximal end has abrupt retouch. The distal tip has retained secondary cortex. The dorsal face has a flattened medial ridge and long flake removals to either side. The left margin has abrupt flake retouch at its proximal half, while the distal half has more semi-abrupt retouch. The right margin has a chamfered long flake removal from proximal to central point and abrupt retouch from there to the cortex on the distal shoulder.

This piece is shaped like a pasty or segment of an orange. The flat ventral face has faint ripples and some retouch at the sharp margin, but this may have been use wear. There is some gloss on this face. The dorsal face slopes from the cortex towards the sharp margin. The margin is serrated, probably from use wear.
