One face of a Medieval copper alloy sheet buckle plate. This plate is rectangular, with an extended end, and is flat in cross-section. At the extended end, there is a central notch which is flanked by two rectangular projections (which would have folded in on themselves). There are four rivet holes (one at each corner) and two copper alloy rivets are preserved. Remains of iron on the back of one of them.

An incomplete copper alloy roman military buckle. Only a part of the plate has been preserved. The buckle frame is probably oval, with the terminals slightly curving back in on themselves. The bar is decorated with a moulded transverse line. A rivet hole and the remains of another are preserved at each corner of the bar. The pin location is still perceptible.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate dating to the medieval period, circa 1100-1300. The plate is rectangular in plan though now distorted through damage. The plate comprises two sheets of metal, one a back-plate and the other an openwork front-plate. The openwork decoration is unclear but perhaps represents highlights a quadruped. A band of hatched metal runs along one short-edge. One rivet remains. The surface has been gilded.
