Silver half groat of Edward III, Pre Treaty Series E (1354-1355) struck at the mint in York. The coin is incomplete and broken into three pieces of which two are recorded herein. The coin is clipped and much of the inscription lost. The break is relatively fresh and the coin is buckled / bent by movement in the soil.
